The path from volume bars to phase labels

A map of how we teach technical analysis training focused on volume analysis, accumulation, and distribution signals — whether you enter through the Intensive, a weekend, or clinics.

Students arrive with different charting habits. The curriculum does not assume Wyckoff fluency on day one, but it does assume you already know candlesticks and basic support and resistance. Everything below is taught with live markup, not slides alone.

  1. Volume anatomy

Bar composition, relative participation, effort versus result, and the discipline of scanning volume before narrating price. Short drills use liquid UK-hour instruments so the tape is honest.

  2. Range behaviour

How quiet and busy ranges differ, when sideways price is fatigue rather than absorption, and how to write provisional notes without forcing a phase name.

  3. Accumulation maps

Springs, tests, and absorption clues. Students practise upgrading from “possible accumulation” only when two independent volume tells appear.

  4. Distribution tells

Failed upthrusts, weaker rallies, and selling into strength. Emotional bias gets named in the room — bullish narratives often outlive the volume evidence.

  5. Clinic pressure

You present marked charts. Tutors and peers challenge thin labels. The Intensive ends here; weekend students sample a lighter version on Sunday afternoon.

  6. Ongoing structure

Alumni may join the monthly study group to keep phase reading under review as markets change. Clinics remain available for one-off stuck charts.

Best entry if you want depth

The Volume Reading Intensive walks the full path over six weeks with workbook support.

Best entry if you want a concentrated burst

The Accumulation & Distribution Weekend compresses phases three and four with heavy drill time.
